About the Paper Dolly
The PakTiger G2 and ProPad G3 are existing paper cushioning machines that create paper cushioning pads using a roll of paper. Customers wanted to switch to a fan-fold style of paper. Customers wanted to a more efficient system to reduce downtime when installing a new role of paper. Customers wanted a solution that would not take up too much space while simultaneously increasing throughput of paper pads.

The goals of the Paper Dolly:

Design dolly to withstand abusive warehouse environments.

Can carry multiple reams of fan-fold paper.

Create an easy method of alignment and locking mechanism.
My Involvement:
I was the sole owner of this product development process.

This project required me to design the following:

Ergonomics and user interface

Allow paper to climb and feed into machine intake without tearing

Design a locking system that can stay attached to the machine and is independent of leveling of the floor

Project Results
The Paper Dolly is a big success for the company, customers are ordering more paper consumable products due to improved loading efficiency and reduced downtime. This product also provides additional convenience by giving customers a choice to either run a traditional roll of paper or fan-fold paper.
